The bustle main is a refractory-lined pipe, ~2 m in diameter, that distributes high-temperature air at ~1200°C from the stoves to multiple blowstocks around the blast furnace. Internal inspection of the blowpipe for detecting refractory damage, buildup of material, cracks etc. is crucial for safe operations. During shutdowns, blowpipes and tuyeres of blowstocks are replaced providing an access port ~200 mm diameter at the gooseneck region of the blowstock. The temperature of internal refractories of the blowstock can be ~800-1000°C even during shutdowns.
We are seeking high-temperature-capable visual inspection solutions, that can be inserted through these openings and can extended up to the bustle main. The distance from the blowstock opening to the bustle main can be up to 3 m. The solution should provide sufficient reach and manoeuvrability to inspect the internal circumference of the blowstock.
